Blake “Butch” Winter has been training dogs for the public since 1966.  He trained primarily retrieving dogs for hunters until 1985.  During that time he worked mainly with Labradors producing at least 10 Field Champions.  He also worked with other breeds during this time including Brittany Spaniels, German Shorthairs, Vizslas, Weimaraners, Drahthaars, Golden Retrievers, Wired-haired Griffons to name a few.  In 1985 he began to train the pointing dogs – American Field Registered English Pointers and Setters for Field Trials.
